Multiple Teams · EK Varsity Basketball Heart-breaker Loss to Rockford in OT: 48-49

Yes, it’s true, EK lost in a heart-breaker to Rockford Rams in OT Friday at our EK House.  EK’s House was electrifying; both crowds were lively, and the entertainment of the Pep Band, Cheer, and Dance Team added to the intensity.  It was a duel between the the EK RED OUT and the Ram Orange–THANKS EK Students & Fans for wearing your RED & waiving your “terrible” towels. A very special thanks to Cathy Kim for sharing her beautiful voice in the singing of our National Anthem!

EK came out strong and kept the Rams in tight check for the majority of the game, but a couple of bad breaks for EK and a couple of lucky breaks for the Rams turned the game into a an overtime show down for the Teams AND their respective Fans.  The EK Team, as a whole, played well & played their hearts out; Ram’s Majerle had a hot 4th quarter; but EK fell by one in the end.  EK will have a rematch with Rockford later in February (2/25), where we will provide the Rockford Rams their walking papers as we take them DOWN in THEIR HOUSE!

EK remains on top in both the OK Red Conference (6-1) and overall (10-2) as the Muskegon Big Reds fell at HOME to the Jenison Wildcats Friday night in double OT.

Next Game: EK plays Muskegon THIS TUESDAY (2/1) @ EK.  The EK Falcons NEED YOUR SUPPORT, so be there!

Remember: these are the Big Reds, so WEAR BLACK!!!!!!  And, bring those Terrible Towels, EK Posters, EK Flags, and of course, YOUR EK VOICE!
